The libraries that are part of the LRC offer most of the following collections for the UPAEP community, so they are the most numerous and the ones you will use most frequently.
General Collection is the largest and best known part of the collection. These are the books that can be borrowed at home and have a white label. Check that their classification begins with the initials CG. Within this collection, you will find the RP materials or items:
This type of items, which you will find in the General Collection, are materials on loan for a limited period of 3 hours. They are identified by a light blue label and the initials RP. The purpose of limiting their loan is to guarantee the consultation of high-demand titles in the collection.
These books are for quick reference (dictionaries, encyclopedias and the like). Their loan is limited according to the library*. They are identified by an orange label. The items Folio Reference come from this collection:
These are the largest books and therefore require a shelf according to their size, they are identified by a green label.
*Central and Tehuacan campus: 3 days High schools: only in lecture hallThese are compact discs, DVDs and similar materials, most of which are complementary materials to printed books. Check the catalog for the location of these materials.
The Karol Wojtyla Library offers children's literature books, which are also useful for foreign students. They can be consulted only in the library. They are identified with a pink label.
An adult is recommended to remain with the children at all times.
The following collections are targeted to specific audiences related to the Academy
It is a special collection for professors, its loan is long-term and is made through the academic coordinators. Once they are returned by the professors, they go to the collection for consultation like PR books.
These are books for students studying double degrees. They serve as support in the bibliography that they are asked for abroad.
It consists of all materials with special physical characteristics and value. Due to its characteristics, its consultation requires a special treatment.
It is made up of works published by the university and its safekeeping and consultation is restricted to the Special Collections area at Karol Wojtyla library.
This collection houses materials that speak about Pope John Paul II, as well as works of his authorship. They are located in Special Collections for in-room consultation.
It is conformed by an eponymous donation that is kept together with the Puebla Collection. Access is restricted to the Special Collections area.
Donated to the university by his family, we keep the personal library of the artist Ignacio Márquez Rodiles. Due to the nature of its copies, its access and consultation are restricted.
It is a special collection that we hold in high esteem and whose subject matter is centered on the city of Puebla. Access is restricted to the Special Collections area.
